Journies, Inc

June 1, 2009

This is a response to Journies, Inc. letter that was sent to Donna Mobilia, the GAL in this case, on April 22, 2009. The letter is in regards to the scheduled supervised visitations. It took Journies six weeks to figure out the visitation schedule. Plaintiff could only give Journies staff three hours to work with for visitations and this was causing problems. The week of Spring Break defendant called the children and spoke with the youngest child. Plaintiff stated, “We have to go” once he found out it was their mother on the phone. I was confused as to why a supervised visitation could not be set up during the week of Spring Break. Defendant work schedule for the week was in the evening and Plaintiff was not working during the day that Defendant called. I was unable to meet on Tuesdays once a month because of a prior commitment. I was told that the middle child would not be attending some of the visitations because he had after school sports. This is a clear violation of my rights to have visitations with my children. I agreed to have the supervised visitations on Tuesday because it was the only time the visitations could take place and I wanted to see my children. After four months of not seeing my children, April 21, 2009 I showed up at Journies to see my children. After receiving papers to sign that stated the cost of the visit was $40.00 per hour I stated, “I can not afford to pay this.” Defendant was told by Deb Rader, “Judge Gardner states in the order you are a 100% pay. We will not be able to do the visitations then.” Defendant left with out seeing her children. Judge Gardner knows exactly how much the Defendant income is. Plaintiff brings home $5,000 a month after child support while defendant lives on $500 a month and Defendant is ordered by Judge Gardner to pay for supervised visitations. Judge Gardner approved of the filing fees for the February 27, 2009 motion and the court approved to pay for the psychological evaluation. The only conversation’s before April 21, 2009 was by phone. I was never made aware of how much the visits would cost until the day of the supervised visitations. I did not view this as abnormal because the Safe Exchange Program did not mention payment before the initial contact. When I stated I could not pay for the Safe Exchange program the cost was free. I was shocked the day of supervised visitation when I was asked to pay $40.00. I stated, “Judge Gardner fucks up everything she puts her hands on.” Never did I say “That’s fucking great.” Typical of Judge Gardner” as the report states. I did bring a tape recorder and can send you the recording in an email or put the recording on my web site for you and anyone else to listen to if you would like. I purchased a tape recorder when being harassed by the staff with the Safe Connection program. It is a shame that someone has to record their conversation because public trust had been broken by those in the system who are dishonest. After leaving the facility I did not get a call from Journies that Pat would pay the $40.00. My mother was the person who actually told me. My mother talked with the children on the phone and that is how I found out. Mr. Kloostra has changed his home phone number and his cell phone number. I found this out when I called to tell my oldest son his grandmother got rid of her house phone and went to a cell phone on May 24, 2009. The children have been told to not contact their grandmother or myself, per my oldest son. My oldest son calls me on his girlfriend’s cell phone to let me know about track meets, graduation, and when he is coming to visit me.
